Canada Global Vision Ventures Inc. (CGV) · Mississauga, Ontario (Hybrid) · Permanent, Part-time (25 hours/week)
About CGV
Canada Global Ventures (CGV) accelerates the success of international founders entering Canada and empowers Canadian investors with curated global opportunities. Through tailored programs, expert mentorship, and direct investor access, we provide the resources and network global founders need to build impactful, scalable businesses in Canada.
We are launching a dedicated HealthTech vertical focused on supporting MedTech, digital health, and healthcare-services founders in their entry to and growth within the Canadian market. We are looking for a HealthTech Program Lead to design and run this vertical.
About the Role
The HealthTech Program Lead will own CGV’s HealthTech vertical end-to-end: program design, founder advisory, sector intelligence, mentor and partner network, and investor matching. You will be the sector specialist that healthcare founders, clinical advisors, and healthcare-focused investors connect to inside CGV.
This is a part-time permanent role (25 hours per week) reporting directly to the CEO. You will work in a hybrid arrangement out of our Mississauga office, with travel within the Greater Toronto Area for industry events and partner meetings.
What You’ll Do
Program Design and Operations
Design and launch CGV’s HealthTech vertical, including curriculum, cohort structure, application funnel, and program calendar.
Run cohort intake: source, screen, and onboard HealthTech and MedTech founders into CGV’s accelerator programs.
Coordinate Pitch Day events for HealthTech cohorts, including curating healthcare-focused investor relationships and matching founders to capital.
Founder Advisory
Provide expert advisory to portfolio HealthTech and MedTech founders on healthcare regulatory pathways, hospital procurement and clinical adoption, accreditation considerations (including JCI standards for international expansion), and clinical workflow integration.
Support founders on healthcare commercialization strategy, clinical evidence generation, and healthcare buyer dynamics.
Sector Intelligence and Content
Conduct sector research and produce market intelligence on the Canadian and international HealthTech landscape, regulatory trends, and investment activity.
Develop educational content and deliver workshops on healthcare commercialization, regulatory strategy, and clinical evidence generation.
Network and Ecosystem
Build and manage a network of healthcare-sector mentors, clinical advisors, and corporate partners (hospitals, health systems, pharmaceutical companies, medical device companies).
Represent CGV at HealthTech industry events, conferences, and ecosystem gatherings; build CGV’s profile in the Canadian and international HealthTech community.
Who You Are
Required
Senior-level professional experience in healthcare, with substantial leadership experience at a hospital, health system, healthcare services organization, or healthcare-focused company.
Direct experience with healthcare regulatory frameworks, accreditation processes (JCI, Accreditation Canada, or equivalent), or hospital quality and safety standards.
University degree (Bachelor’s required; Master’s strongly preferred) in pharmacy, medicine, nursing, healthcare administration, life sciences, or a related field.
Strong written and oral English communication skills, including comfort presenting to executives, founders, and investors.
Eligible to work in Canada.
Strongly Preferred
Experience leading or contributing to JCI accreditation (Medication Management & Use, or related chapters), Accreditation Canada surveys, or equivalent international quality programs.
Experience working across both inpatient and outpatient healthcare settings, ideally in international or cross-border environments.
Familiarity with the Canadian healthcare system, hospital procurement processes, and provincial regulatory frameworks.
Bilingual (English and a second language relevant to international founder pipelines, e.g., Vietnamese, Mandarin, French, Spanish).
Nice to Have
Prior involvement with startup ecosystems, accelerators, incubators, or founder mentorship.
Teaching, training, or curriculum development experience.
Healthcare procurement, supply chain, or vendor management experience.
Why This Role
You will be the founding sector lead for CGV’s HealthTech vertical. This is a builder role: you shape the program from inception, define what CGV’s HealthTech reputation looks like in the Canadian ecosystem, and work directly with the CEO and the CGV leadership team. The role suits a healthcare professional who wants to leverage deep clinical and operational expertise in a venture and ecosystem-building context, on a part-time schedule that supports work-life balance or complementary professional pursuits.
Compensation and Benefits
Hours: 25 hours per week, schedule flexible by mutual agreement.
Vacation: 4% vacation pay in accordance with the Ontario Employment Standards Act.
Public holidays: All ESA public holidays.
Work arrangement: Hybrid, with regular in-office presence at CGV’s Mississauga office for events, team meetings, and program delivery.
Probation: Three (3) months.
